hey everyone! happy day to you!
today finds me gathering the goods for yet another fun filled sunday @ the shady hollow! and one of my personal favorites is a marriage of found objects from my stash. i am often asked where i find all my "stuff"...to which i giggle thinking there are MANY places my stuff comes from. and probably the richest vein of stuff is to be found in my very own backyard! these old zinc roofing shingles are a prime example. {below}
these wonderfully weathered gems have been hanging out with me for a number of years. it took awhile to find a good purpose for them. to which i owe a big thanks to janet...a fellow junk'n girl & patinaWHITE shopper who came up with the idea of adding one of my bubble vases to her's. i put my own twist on it using a vintage glass insulator + giving a bit of texture with a clay tag (made by moi) for a whimsical case of recreation! coming together with some of my garden flowers it looks something like this {below}
i'd like to think am here to inspire...but often times i am enlightened by other's perspectives on objects! so aspire to inspire! and be sure to stop by patinaWHITE if you are in the neighborhood the next few weekends! though we are drawing to a close for the season...i am continually working on more great "stuff" to show & tell ya all about!
happily your's...
