hello hello! i am back in the saddle! (or at the very least - {1} leg firmly planted in the stirrup)! we returned from a whirlwind week of travels providing some wonderful memories. let's see if i can sort thru some of those right now for ya!
we hit the road sunday afternoon after a day packed with shady hollow shoppers! (a big THANK YOU to everyone!). many many hours & a flat tire later we reached our destination...
where beautiful scenery awaited...rocking on here {below}
majestic waterfalls runneth over...
landscape of gold mining past...(note the size of the house in the grand scheme of things...i think i'd opt for a taller backyard fence)
and though we didn't "strike it rich"...i did score some fabulous trinkets (printers blocks shown included). we had a fantastic time riding our...
and saw some familiar faces...
i even made some new friends...becoming part of a regular ol' dog & pony show! or should i say - dog, cat and rodent show. there was a mouse...but i opted to hold the rat. hey...he was white. my favorite color!
on some subterranean explorations...
i found me a good looking "cave" man...
after which we took in one heck of a view (and the trees weren't bad either) with our traveling companions!
one morning i took a walk & admired the all american architecture...
took a moment of reflection...
and dreamed of a second home someday...
phew! are you still with me? i think i am ready for a nap! nothing my preferred beverage of choice can't fix...
later that day i felt like i hit the...
...when in downtown...
i found a gal specializing in hand embellished boots and jackets. just eye candy for this girl. i did drop a hint that maybe santa would take note of how good i have been this year (so far)...but i don't think "he" was listening.
so i opted for a more affordable alternative for a souvenir in this sparklin' tee.
did i mention our edge of the seat experience driving into some inclement weather? i am thankful i was a passenger on this journey.
we spent over an hour dodging torrential downpours + a crazy amount of golf ball sized hail. wish i could say the same for our friend's truck & mom-in-law's new car! YIKES!
but all in all it was a FANTASTIC time...a much appreciated change of scenery + fun times with family & friends! we all cleaned up pretty nicely...
...to have a dinner out @ our favorite eatery...
...where interestingly enough they had an "advertisement" that caught my eye.
guess i will have something to look forward to for next year! i did think hubby should try the barking dog...but he wasn't in the mood for any yelps!
i could honestly go on and on. but you probably already know that about me! considering i have almost 500 various snapshots i would say this is a pretty condensed version! so i will call it quits for today. and wrap up my week in review wishing you all a happy day! thanks for tagging along!
