greetings show & tell friends! there are somethings i never tire of making. one of my favorite patinaWHITE creations would be my "JUNK"drawers. i came about an abundant supply a few years ago {present day selection below}
when @ refuge pile i spotted a giant drawered unit. it was pushing 90 degrees that day. i remember it well. the caterpillar would soon be crushing what was there and i was a desperate woman. there was no way no how this determined girl could begin to unearth the rubble that was toppled ontop. so i started yanking out as many of the exposed drawers i could. i didn't get them all but did manage to nab more than a few. i wasn't sure what i would do with them but @ the very least i was going to salvage the cool metal bin pulls.
well it didn't take me long to envision using them as "frames" for some special collected beadboard and my very own designed rustic wood letters. and to date it has been a personal and customer favorite! so when i came across a "new" stash of old wood it got the wheels of invention turning again. so my faith JUNKdrawer was born...again! {below}
love the subtle shades of grey in this one. i'm also pretty crazy 'bout the cross constructed from my very precious + dwindling supply of white lumber!
oh! don't miss the fabulous accent that i got my hands on! into my possession came a few metal dimensional fish icons {seen a bit closer below}. couldn't have happened @ a better time as the two elements work brilliantly together!
incase you're wondering...you can "catch" 'em this sunday @ shady hollow. where i will be bringing in another collection of my gathered & created wares to my cottage. and speaking of cottage....
i was yet again inspired by what my customers put together. i always want to take pictures but usually don't like to ask as there is a line-up of patient souls waiting. this time i had to snap a quickie photo on my counter. the elements this gal picked came together so wonderfully...and when she asked for a bit more color the lightbulb moment of my tiny fish charms hit me. they were tucked away in one of my secret stashes for just the right occasion. and this was one of them! have a peek {below} at what we teamed up to create!
so there you have it! i'm keeping the faith. and the waves of inspiration continue to roll in! thank you to all of you out there who make that possible! i sure appreciate each & everyone's notes + comments...please know that if i don't get a chance to reply to all of you...those tidbits are what really make me passionate about my "job"! thank you for that!
make it a great day everyone!
