hey there show&TELL! time for a little {what i wore}. hubby & i joined another couple to have a dinner out for newYEARSeve. well...it was really an early "eve" for this girl. our "date" was set for 5:30pm as i was feelin' a little punky yet from that darn "bug" that's going 'round. so here's a little pictorial mention of the items i donned to celebrate getting out of the house for the first time in days!
as i was spending some time "resting"...i did the mental run through of my baubles pondering what i would wear. i had an idea of the apparel i would be donning...so i figured i'd do a layering of some of FAVORITE THINGS in terms of necklaces. turquoise. check. twinklin' vintage rhinestone. got 'em. a heavy dose of "patina". well that "shadowbox" encased key should fit the bill. here's what they looked liked put together {below}
and here's some of the elements that came together for the eve's attire...
my tasha polizzi black leather jacket was an eBay leap of faith as i didn't know how the fit would be. thankfully it hit the mark.
a larger than life buckle {flea find!} buckle on a thrift store found black leather belt keeps the balance of accessories in check.
wardrobe staples of dark denim jeans + a black lace longsleeve are basics that seem anything but when you mix in some accessories. {see those items below}
i wanted to wear a bracelet...and then i recalled this newer member to patinaWHITE's line-up...a fantastic wire wrapped relic w/ the right mix of baubles. i love the whimsical mix of bling + buttons. see it close {below}
it wouldn't be time for a celebration without a pair of boots to get me there. so i slipped on a favorite pair of my old gringos w/ occasion appropriate SPARKLE to get kicky in. as "kicky" as i was, that is, once i rolled off the couch!
and though i didn't it till the midnight hour (more like i made all of 8 o'clock) before i went from jewels to jammies...i am happy {and RELIEVED} to report that as i type this...my health has returned. makes me very thankful for the time that my body feels good after a stint like that! and i hope this finds you happy & healthy yourself! thanks for popping by and peeking...
