hello*hello! i know. here we are @ february & of {ALL} things i am showin' + tellin' about SNOW. but when you live in northern minnesota it's very possible for us to see it all the way into april! so i've accepted the recent 12"...otherwise known as a FOOT...{see a view of our deck below} we got this week as something that comes along with the territory.
there's alot of industry & businesses up here that rely on the white stuff. so you have to love it for that reason. i know my ma is reading this disagreeing right now! but my snowmobiling hubby his band of merry men are tickled @ the prospect of finally being able to ride after a couple years of the absence of said winter by product.
besides...look @ the pretty things {below} snow has inspired! works of whimsy by myself & my other fabulous artisan friends.
and though i have been wanting to take the time to make a snowman {4}EVER...i settled for a snow heart {below} since valentines is right around the corner.
now mind you. our recent our temps have been below zero more often than not. infact yesterday found me driving home from morning errands at a balmy 15 below...{and as i type this it is 28 below actual temp...that's not windchill folks!}...but as i cruised down the road to our home...the sun was doing it's best to peek thru the gray start to the day.
i had to pull over and snap a pic of the beautiful view thru the woods. made me think how lucky i was to live in such a beautiful area...even though after a nano second outside without gloves i couldn't feel my fingers! but really...with a touch of photo enhancement to mask the grayness...it looks like a painting don't you think {below}!?
so despite the chill often associated with these "SNOW" days...i am fueled by the thought of spring and the beauty that arrives with that season. that's the rule...it has to warm up {i think} at some point. i hope this finds you no matter where you are or the temp in the air around you...having a wonderful start to february. it's the season of hearts. or in our case {SNOW}hearts!
