i know many of you may be thinking ENOUGH SNOW! but as the saying goes...when life gives you lemons...make lemonade! so please join me today in a beautiful hike around the woods surrounding our home.
outfitted and ready for action!
hitting the trail...
this sign {below} is pretty funny! good thing i know the owners!
i am not alone as seen by the many footprints along the way!
the weight of the snow has caused many of the trees to give a little...or in the case of the cluster {below}...ALOT!
this one too...it has been a l o n g winter!
tree whisperer...these twin birch are just simply majestic!
i think the woodpeckers have been busy carving a niche {below}
peek-a-boo mr. sun {below}!
there you are again! hello sunshine! a bit hard to see in my photo but detroit lake is way off in the distance. this spot is really quite high! (well, for minnesota!)
just exactly who or what am i following? bambi of course!
ok...time to appreciate life's simple pleasures. this leaf {below}, in all it's patinaWHITE glory, was so pretty i had to tuck it in my coat and bring it home...i adore the skeleton leaf look.
more simplicity in branches coated with glistening snow...
well...are you as ready for a cup of hot cocoa as i am? and to sweet carola in argentina...i was thinking of you as i was snapping pictures! i forget that we all don't get experience a blanket of snowy goodness!
i hope you enjoy whatever "lemons" might come your way!
Gorgeous blue sky and wonderful white snow. We didn't get any this year and I've missed it. But I'm enjoying all the snow on blogs written from the east.

I love snowshoeing!. I take my phone out and snap pictures with it rather than take my SLR along with me when I am out enjoying Minnesota's goodness.
