hello hello & wishing you a happy monday everyone! i have to admit...there are times when there are nose-prints all over our front door - today being one of them! nothing like a visit from the man in brown and/or blue to bring a smile to my face. by that i mean parcel! ok..you get it!? i love our mailman!
and just why do i hold such as strong term of endearment for a near stranger? well...this time of the year i am in full on patinaWHITE mode. creating + collecting wares to premier at the opening of my shady hollow shoppe on memorial weekend! i dropped everything i was working on to tear into today's box of treasures. i was like a kid at christmas - i could hardly contain myself!
one thing led to another so i will show you what one simple package can inspire me to do! this fabulous artist wrapped every item in vintage sheet-music. i couldn't bear the thought of throwing one scrap away - so out came the shredder and after some quick turns of the wheel i have me a bowl full of crinkle paper. {below} less waste means less space in our home!
since i am in the process of unpacking i figure i should price everything now. but i wasn't loving the bright white tags. out comes the tea & they are taking a dip {below}. looking much better...
you can see where i started & where i finished. {below} sort of. since now i have to wait awhile for them to dry before tagging them. so much for productivity!
now all this excitement reminds me of a wire display i picked up on my recent nebraska journey. it was standing tall in a really dark corner of an antique mall...in the rough room. yes...you heard me rough room. my heart usually skips a beat when i see a sign in a store stating that. bring on the "rough" please. that is where i usually end up having the most fun! oh...i almost forgot to show it to you. pretty darn cool, huh? i thought so too!
now you are all wondering...well what the heck is in the box anyway? i had to save the best for last. here is a tiny sneak peek @ one of my favorites. {below}
i will now be DREAMing of more things to come up with in the next couple months. memorial weekend will soon be upon us. i can hardly wait! almost like peering out the door for a chance meeting with our loyal mail carrier. thanks mr. mailman! and thank YOU for stopping today! hopefully i have passed on some of the LOVE...
live your life in the moment...
You really should have an etsy shop... for those of us who can't make it back to DL over Memorial Weekend***sigh*** I guess its better for the check book that I don't see all your ideas or I would be broke. HA!

Using vintage sheet-music paper to wrap your package was a good idea! It’s not only wonderful, but it’s also a good way of recycling paper. So, what did you do to those that you shredded? I hope you were able to make something useful out of it too.
