happy monday everyone!
i think my calling cards are a reflection of me + my business. and can be described in {1} word. unconventional. while trying to update them a couple years back i knew i wanted something different. and a square card @ the time was very new to market. in-fact they still catch many of my customers off-guard. i often quip that if they decide they no longer need them for their intended purpose they sure make a good impromptu coaster.
so my "unconventional" cards sometimes have people asking if it's alright to take them. and of course i chime in...YES please do so! but a huge smile was brought to my face when just a couple weeks back a sheepish gal asked if they were FOR SALE! now that's something to think this sweet customer thought they special enough to command a price. not bad for a cocktail napkin!
i decided then to add a little sign to my card catcher {below} to encourage others to help themselves...
i know...gettin' lengthy...but keep reading my friends...you'll be glad you did!
now you can about imagine finding a case to hold my square cards has been a challenge. but without even looking i happened on something that proved to fill that void. two + years later and i can't even take credit for it!
enter tooled leather former cigarette case. {below}
it was just begging to go home with me. belt buckle? trinket holder? then the proprietary mistress of the spot in the antique mall mentioned..."i thought it would be a good business card holder!". HELLOOOO beth...wake up & smell the smoke for gosh sakes! my cards are SQUARE. and here sits the perfect solution to my dilemma! i just about did a cart wheel from all the excitement. i am pretty sure that if i were a bit more nimble i would have!
again...i've said it before...takes very little to excite me! but really....how can you not love my smokin' cool case put to use {below}?!
did i mention you'd be glad to still be reading @ this point? please continue on...
i just so happen to offer some fun cards that are for sale thru patinaWHITE. you may have picked up on the fact i like to dabble in paper crafting on occasion so i am about to show you those created by my very own hand. and not only show them to you but offer a set of {12} {below} to one of my blog readers as a little thank you for your continued interest in my ramblings and the wares often associated with such.
yep. it's time for a patinaWHITE PRIZE offering. and given the current season...all i ask is that you send a shout out my way on something you are thankful for! a comment posted @ the end of this post is just dandy. or for those of you preferring to send a different shout of sorts may email me by click {HERE}!
i will start first. i am thankful for YOU. and a hubby, family + circle of friends who "get" me. or @ least they are the great pretenders. plus a warm house with lots of feather blankets to keep me comfy this minnesota winter. and a healthy mind {up for question} + body that let's me continue to unearth and create the little works of whimsy i am so very passionate about. {but somehow doesn't allow for any back bending gymnastics moves. still working on that cartwheel...}
you can be as long winded or brief as you like. you have {1} week to think about it if you so desire. because i will announce the winner of my card collection november 28th. and once again...this is a time when the cards are FREE!
what are your THANKFUL for?? with many of you very well thinking you are thankful i am finally DONE! {for now}
I am grateful for my wonderful kids and husband, for some of my relatives, yes, not all of them, for good health and happiness and my doggies!

Hi there~ I am very blessed and thankful for my faith first, and also my family. My parents! My mom who has 4th stage lung cancer, who is 82 and continues to take care of my 82yr old dad who had a heart attack and stroke this summer, cooks for him daily, takes care of all his meds, and his daily needs. She just finished her 2nd round of radiation. She continues to worry about all her 6 grown kids and now all her grandchildren and great grand. I am thankful for my job, my family, and a job, health. friends, my blog and daily inspirations. I am truly blessed for each day. Thanks for the chance! Happy Thankgiving to you and yours!

Love your aesthetic and have enjoyed reading your blog... I'm thankful for the usual family/friends/job/home... but am so thankful for the inspiration found via blogs when most of my friends just think i'm a bit odd when I prefer to DIY than buy!

A collection of your business and announcement cards are posted on the burlap bulletin board in my home office......just love those little pieces of delightful artwork! That square case for your square cards is super cool! Thank you for all the inspiration you provide via your blog and website. I am so thankful for how quickly I can get to it.....no waiting for advertising, etc. to load and distract me from the main reason I visit. I can't wait to decorate the wire wreath I picked up at your home event....doubt it will be as inspiring as yours, but I'll give it my best! Thanks again for sharing so much of your talent with us....it is so appreciated....and really sparks my own desire to create.....something else I am very thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving!

Despite all the difficulties i have faced over the last years in trying to get my bearings and find my way after a divorce, the days of despair and the loneliness in trying to rebuild my life, I try each day to give thanks for what I do have and not all I have lost. I do not always succeed, but each morning wake up knowing I have another opportunity to try again. Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh my! I'm thankful for so much, but... two beautiful, healthy kids, a loving hubby, great health, an art teaching job that I love, having both sides of our family close, my in-progress heirloom farmhouse, my sewing machines, good food, great friends, the spectacular sunset this evening, Apple products, candles, long hot baths, Country Living magazine, blogland, always having way more than enough, chipped paint and weathered wood, Prismacolor colored pencils, a deep couch, good books, and slow embroidery. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
