greetings! i am lucky to have come across some real "jewels" in my days. in the form of people, places & things. of course there is hardly a moment gone by that i don't deck myself out in at least one or more jewels. it's amazing how a little bit of sparkle can make even my dickies look presentable. well...almost.
so my personal tastes reflect heavy in the goodies i offer @ my cottage...summer home of patinaWHITE. there's a couple new arrivals that paired well together {seen below}
some of you may recognize the "kid sister" to a piece i had this spring. she's a smaller version of the chunky, corrugated metal / stone number w/ a daintier metal beaded chain. and because she's more demure than big sis...she works brilliantly layered w/ the mulitchain necklace accented by crystal droplets throughout.
my scribbled enhanced display is a little distracting so here's both of said pieces up close {below}
THEN...i met a jewel of an artist earlier this year. she not only was one of the kindest gals i have dealt w/ but her creations made my heart skip a beat. wild wire wrapped creations incorporating found elements, they were some of the most unique wares i have seen in a l o n g time.
i selected a few to keep and some to share. or should i say some to keep and a few to share?? so. a few indicates {3}. and that's what i am going to premier @ the hollow. have a peek {below} from afar...
and a little closer @ one spectacular creation {below}. so over the top fabulous i may have second thoughts about adopting her out!
hey! did you happen to catch what i draped those lovely ladies on?? the find that inspired this whole ramblin' story! i do believe it's a piece of an old enamel stove. i found it from a flea vendor and thought it would make a great JEWELry display! right now i'm content using it for staging some pretty pictures!
so. do you believe in kismet? i have to say i do...especially when my last customer of the day this past sunday came in for the very first time to my little shoppe. she was so sweet...and so excited about many jewelry pieces...that she left with a bagful.
when i introduced myself...she did the same. her name? jewel. yep. all i could exclaim at that point is "what a beautiful name!". then i broke into the story of my "jewel" of a find. she was kind enough to listen & i hope that if you are reading this, jewel, you know how much your excitement made my day!
alrighty. so i have touched on the people. shown ya a few things. couldn't send you off today without a jewel of a place. it really was just in passing when i saw something that made me grab my camera. while out in the early hours with hubby on a road trip...i saw this {below}.
the jewel tone sky surrounding the sunrise couldn't have been more beautiful. there's that kismet again! because i have been mulling over some projects with that very saying! hope to have more on that soon!
i hope you have a jewel of a day!
oy, i love the wire JEWELS....they are crazy wonderful! Hope you're having a good summer :-)

Great post!! So I'm dying to get my hands on that first set that you put together!! Any chance there could be a hold with my name on it? Our little Aili is having eye surgery this week and I know I can't get out there Sunday, but I can send my Momma ;) Let me know if you're willing, and if not, I TOTALLY get it:)
Thanks, Beth!
